Where does the name Finya come from?

The name "Finya" is an abstract wordplay from the English words "find you". The term was created by the founders of the platform in 2000. Finya’s vision has always been for people to connect and find each other. From this idea, the English words "find you" were abstracted to "find ya" and finally to "finya", the brand name of the platform.
Independently, spellings such as Finja, Finia, Finnja, Fynnya, Fynia, Fynja, or Fynnja exist which are not names of our platform but are Nordic first names.
